So many of us have love handles and they seem to be so hard to get rid of. Food commercials we see on TV show fatty, sugary foods that we crave like no other. While it can be tough in the beginning,
I’m living proof that you can lose your love handles; all you need to do is love yourself and your body as well as want to live a healthier life. Take a stand against your love handles today and you will be very thankful you did later on.
Why do we get love handles?
Our bodies naturally store a portion of the things we eat for later. While this may seem a bit ridiculous; imagine what it used to be like 10,000 years ago or so. Most people didn’t have access to as much as we do now.
Our bodies adapted to this and began storing food so we wouldn’t starve to death. When there was not enough food within the body, the body would start to eat off the excess weight of the individual. Today, the majority of us have access to food constantly, causing a problem. We overeat, so our bodies are storing more and we are gaining weight; entering, love handles.
Get Rid Of Love Handles
Love handles are caused by an overabundance of fat throughout the body. In order to combat this, a diet is required. While the word ‘diet’ sounds scary and sometimes impossible, it really isn’t. Starving yourself and not being able to enjoy the foods you like is not what a diet is about.
A diet is about lowering your calorie intake, eating more fruits and veggies and balancing your overall food intake. I’m a firm believer in allowing yourself to indulge in the things that you enjoy; but at a price. If you want to enjoy that slice of pie, then you’re going to need to work it off.
Exercising is extremely important because it gets your heart rate up and causes you to sweat, releasing toxins from your body. Not only will you feel better because of the endorphins (happy hormones) that get released while you do so, but your circulation will be increased so you won’t feel as tired.
As with most things in life, there is the option for surgery but I do not recommend it unless there is some sort of dire medical need to get rid of weight and there is nothing else you can do to fix it.
In the long run, if you can do it yourself; you will have a much healthier life overall and you will feel much better in the process as well. Once you get your weight in check, everything else in your life seems to follow; which is an amazing feeling.
