Well here is some simple steps, following them will definitely help you get rid of pimples very quickly. The first thing to do when you get a pimple is keep your hands away from them. Sounds awkward!! Well this is the truth. Pinching, squeezing or even pressing the pimples can make them even redder headed and they may inflame too. The bacteria and oil particles which are now at least accumulated in one particular spot may eventually spread and may give birth to similar many pimples on different parts of the face.

If you see swelling, try applying ice pack to reduce it. But in any case avoid touching it directly. Ice pack will eventually reduce the swelling and you will also find your pain comparatively much less. Pimples are generally born due to accumulation of dirt and oils on the skin pores. So obviously the simplest method is to clean the pores properly. So have your face washed at least three times a day with mild soap or any cleaner which is devoid of any harsh chemical and then just pat dry your face off.

Traditional methods like use of toothpaste or cotton dipped in lemon juice on the acne may also help reduce the redness and the pain. Use of oil free make-ups will help you get rid of pimples permanently. Finally, you can also apply ointment containing benzyl peroxide or salicylic acid near the vicinity of the pimple. They generally dry off the oil and thus decrease the pimple size eventually. So excessive use of these ointments may dry out sensitive skin and hence, should be used after consulting any experienced physician.

On proper usage of these methods, you will get visible results in a matter of couple of days. If problems still persist, it is better to consult a dermatologist.
