Preity Zinta presented the Best Director award to Aamir Khan, for Taare Zameen Par. As usual Aamir Khan was not present. Prasoon Joshi received the award on behalf of Aamir Khan.

Critics Awards went to Chak De India for the Best Film, Tabu for her exceptional role in Cheeni Kum won the Best Actress Award and Darsheel Safari won the Best Actor Award for Taare Zammen Par.

In another Bollywood moment The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Rishi Kapoor by Dimple Kapadia. Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male) went to Irfan and the Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Female) category went to Konkana Sen Sharma for her stellar performance in Life in a Metro.

Guru got the best Music Award. Shaan and Shreya Goshal won the Best Singer Awards. Best Film of the year was Taare Zameen Par. And finally no prizes for guessing this one. Best Debutante awards went to Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone.

Bollywood Couples Go KaBoom !!! Saif Kareenam, John Bipasha …

This year has been a stretched out season of break-ups in Bollywood. From couples who have been together for years, to those who got together recently, the year 2007 has really not been as romantic.

The one couple that every Bollywood fan thought looked great together was Bipasha Basu and John Abraham. Their onscreen chemistry didn’t really match up to their off screen compatibility, despite the two heating up the screen together in several flicks. However, if rumours are to be believed, the hot couple has ‘cooled off’, thanks to new entry in the scene. A birdie says its John’s co-star Vidya Balanfrom Saalam-e-Ishq who is the new ‘Woh’, between the not-yet pati-patni. On the other hand, Bips has been linked with Saif Ali Khan. Well, Bipasha and John aren’t commenting!

But the recent hullabaloo is over Chote Nawab Saif being caught cuddling up with Kapoor clan princess, Kareena Kapoor! Now that Rosa is out of the scene, it shouldn’t least bit stop him from mingling! But we wonder what happened to Shahid Kapoor. Shahid Kapur and Kareena Kapur to cast in Imtiaz Ali’s next film

Mumbai, Feb 24 : Imtiaz Ali is planning to cast the duo Shahid Kapur and Kareena Kapoor in his next film based on romantic flavour.

Ali had earlier directed the critically acclaimed “Socha Na Tha”, which was Abhay Deol’s launch vehicle. To be produced by Shree Ashtavinayak, the film’s shooting is set to begin from March 20 in places like Mumbai, Chandigarh, Shimla and Kullu Manali. Manish Malhotra, one of the most sought after designers in the Hindi film industry, will team up with Sabina Khan to design costumes for the duo. The rest of the cast will be announced shortly.
